The Al Ain Zoo with Daniel

They were playing chasey.

I have no idea what this is Caleb. But it was a big bird.

Caleb the owl's eyes were so big and yellow.

I was scared. That beak could take a huge chunk out of a person.

Look at the eyes.

The bird enclosure.

Oh Caleb, he was so sad. No trees and no friends.

He just sat there and looked longingly at us. :(

Daniel's Cut Throat Shave

Daniel came to visit us in Al Ain. He is so much fun to have around. One morning we caught a cab into the Al Ain mall. There Daniel had a cut throat shave experience. The pictures are in reverse order from bottom to top.
Blow dry.

Steady hands. :)

Pinch the nose.

Almost done.

I didn't say anything to Daniel at the time, but the guys had spots of blood on his coat. ;)

Not too relaxed yet.

Not sure what to expect. The guy in the background had the whole treatment with facial. Next visit Daniel will try that out.

The tempory fencing on the right, then the palace then our villa.

One morning this popped up down the end of our street, and stayed for 3 days. Men were there every night.

A HUGE palace around the corner where I walk has these car awings. If you enlarge you can see the dust that washes onto the cars after rain.

The tent previously had power to run lighting and air-conditioners. This where they conected the electrical power from.

Looking back to the HUGE palace around the corner.

Another view of the tent, but can you notice the power cord across the street?

Thanks for coming on the tour of my home away from home.
